eustella Launch Event: "A Jolt Is Going Through Europe"
It was hot, it was packed, and it was exciting: on Wednesday evening at the AI Factory in Vienna, 150 attendees — journalists, AI entrepreneurs, investors, beta testers, and representatives of various organizations — gathered for the presentation of the new AI agent platform eustella, which is fully committed to European tech sovereignty, to hear CEO Matteo Rosoli and his guests on stage (more on eustella here).

Also on the panel: Johannes Brandstetter, Vice President AI for Science at Mistral AI, along with Phillip Maasberg, Global Startup Program Lead at IONOS Cloud, and Christian Trummer, Chief Scientist & Co-founder of Bitpanda.
As part of the partnership with Bitpanda, real-time cryptocurrency price data will be displayed directly within eustella. "We firmly believe that in the future, agents will interact with various services just like humans do — including in the financial sector. That's why we want to become agent-friendly — that's our goal. One step toward that is the partnership with eustella: you offer agents and operate in Austria and Europe — I see great potential for a really good collaboration there," said Trummer about the cooperation with eustella.

"In Europe, we finally need to respond as Europeans — across borders, from startup funding to unified policy and defense. Otherwise we'll tear ourselves apart. For 20 years we haven't produced our own major tech companies, we're no longer leading, the German auto industry is collapsing. The problem isn't new, but geopolitics has made it extremely acute right now," said Brandstetter, who built Emmi AI in Linz and then exited to Mistral from France. "Especially with data, people react strongly because it affects everyone personally. But something is happening: a jolt is going through Europe. Now is the moment to build — and not let it fade again."
The fact that eustella now offers a European challenger to ChatGPT was met with widespread approval. "When you compare Americans and Europeans, the Americans have a huge advantage: they focus on the user. And that obviously works. eustella is now stepping up and saying: we focus on the user — and make it cheaper too. If that pays off, it'll get really interesting," said business angel Hermann Futter, who is an investor in Newsrooms.ai, the company behind eustella.
And further: "Right now, an enormous number of people are coming into contact with AI for the first time. Sure, a lot of people have ChatGPT — but that's our bubble, that's the students. I'm talking about the other 80% who don't have a solution yet. They're coming now too — and they're encountering a product that's affordable, that's European, and that they don't need to be afraid of."
