We collect the following personal data when you use eustella.com:

a) Email address — collected directly from you when you voluntarily enter it into the waitlist signup form on our website. Providing your email address is voluntary. However, if you do not provide it, you cannot join the eustella waitlist or receive launch updates and early-access invitations.

b) Server log data — collected automatically when you visit our website. This may include your IP address, date and time of the request, requested page, browser user agent, referrer URL, and technical status information.

c) Website usage data — collected via PostHog, a privacy-focused web analytics tool configured in cookieless mode on our website. PostHog does not set cookies, does not use persistent identifiers, and does not track you across websites. Usage data includes page views, interactions, and similar behavioural events collected in a privacy-preserving manner. PostHog Cloud EU processes all data within the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).

3. Purposes and Legal Basis of Processing

We process your data for the following purposes:

a) Email address — Waitlist and product updates
Purpose: To send you updates about eustella, including launch notifications and early access invitations.
Legal basis: Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). By submitting the signup form, you consent to receiving these communications. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 6). Each email we send contains an unsubscribe option. You may also withdraw consent by contacting us at privacy@eustella.com.

b) Server log data — Security and operations
Purpose: Ensuring network and information security, preventing abuse, and maintaining server operations.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our legitimate interest is the security and reliable operation of our website infrastructure.

c) Website usage data — Analytics
Purpose: Measuring and improving the performance, usability, and reliability of our website.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our legitimate interest is to measure and improve the performance, usability, and reliability of our website in a privacy-preserving manner.

4. Data Recipients and Processors

We share your data only with the following service providers, who act as data processors on our behalf under a data processing agreement:

Hosting provider — Your email address and server log data are stored on our server located in Germany (EU).

PostHog Inc. — Provides website analytics. PostHog Cloud EU is hosted on AWS eu-central-1 (Frankfurt, Germany). PostHog's subprocessors are listed at posthog.com/subprocessors.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes. We currently configure our services so that personal data is processed within the European Union. Where a transfer to a third country were to become necessary, we will ensure appropriate safeguards in accordance with Chapter V GDPR and update this policy accordingly.

5. Data Retention

Email address: Retained until you request deletion, withdraw consent, or until 12 months after the date on which eustella is publicly launched — whichever occurs first. After this period, your email will be deleted. If you create an eustella account, your personal data will thereafter be processed in accordance with the privacy policy applicable to the eustella service.

Server log data: Retained for a maximum of 30 days, then automatically deleted.

Website usage data: Usage data collected by PostHog is retained for 12 months.

6. Your Rights Under the GDPR

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR) — You can request confirmation of whether we process your data and obtain a copy of it.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) — You can request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) — You can request deletion of your data at any time. To delete your email from our waitlist, send a request to privacy@eustella.com.
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) — You can request that we limit how we process your data.
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) — You can request to receive the data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR) — You can object to processing based on legitimate interest. This applies to server logging and website analytics.
  • Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR) — Where processing is based on your consent (e.g., waitlist signup), you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. eustella.com does not use cookies. Our analytics tool (PostHog) is configured in cookieless mode and does not store any data on your device.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or alteration.
